Grower Champagne and the “Roaring 1920’s”

Smarter Grower Champagne sponsors a “Roaring 1920’s” themed charitable ball (in support of the Maria's Children Foundation for handicapped Russian orphans who are artistically talented).

The fundraising ball was hosted by the Chance for Life Charitable Foundation at the historic manor house, “The Vache” - home to the first ever memorial to Captain James Cook - in the village of Chalfont St Giles.

Smarter Grower Champagne presented luxury boxed Gold Medal award-winning Grower Champagnes for auction at the ball: Symphonie Rosé 2007 from Champagne Jacquinot et Fils.

Champagne Jacquinot et Fils has been producing wines for over 80 years and additionally provides grapes to Moët & Chandon from their vineyards in the Côte des Bar.

The British Library launches “COOKING UP SUCCESS” with an inspiring article from Smarter Grower Champagne.

In promoting its latest venture: 'Cooking up success', the Business & IP Centre department of the British Library, recently invited Ken Davey, Founder & Managing Director of Smarter Grower Champagne, to contribute an article to help budding entrepreneurs, starting a food/drink business, gain valuable lessons and experience from other recent start-ups in the industry and, provide some positive messages for the entrepreneurs to be inspired.

Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs - SILVER medal

We are pleased to announce a SILVER medal from the CWSA ("Best Value" China Wine & Spirits Awards)  for our Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs - 2008 GUY CHARLEMAGNE Cuvée Charlemagne.

Produced only in exceptional years, this wine comes from the prestigious 100% Grand Cru vineyards in Mesnil sur Oger and Oger. Vinified in stainless steel thermo regulated tanks, the Cuvée has a light dosage of 6g/l.

Smarter showcased three of its Grower Champagne suppliers at the 2013 Champagne Bureau Annual Tasting - the World's largest Champagne tasting - on Wednesday 13th March at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London.

Three of our Grower Champagne suppliers attended: Champagne L&S Cheurlin (Table 16); Champagne Dérouillat (Table 21) and Champagne Jacquinot et Fils (Table 39).

Founder & Managing Director, Ken Davey, said he was delighted with the event and pleased to have the opportunity to meet some of legendary names in the world of Champagne, such as: Michael Edwards, Oz Clarke, Giles Fallowfield and Richard Bampfield to name but a few. Read more . . .
